Colour Co. Rentals and Ladibug Studios, both born in the South, share a strong commitment to supporting filmmakers who are often overlooked. Our journeys crossed because we understood the challenges that creators like us face. Together, we decided to create a space where underrepresented voices in film can truly thrive. Women In Focus Summit is a reflection of that mission—a chance to change the game, inspired by our own experiences of struggling to find resources, mentorship, and support. We’ve been there—looking for opportunities, searching for role models who look like us, and facing barriers that seemed impossible to overcome. Rather than wait for the industry to change, we chose to take action ourselves.

Through Women In Focus Summit, we want to create a space that celebrates the work of women and non-binary filmmakers, but also provides real opportunities for growth, collaboration, and mentorship. This summit is more than just an event; it’s our way of giving back and ensuring that the next generation of filmmakers doesn’t have to face the same challenges we did. It’s about making sure they have the access, resources, and community they deserve—so they can achieve what we once only dreamed of.
